Confrontation with Russia brings only losses to Ukraine - there are no benefits from it, and people understand this.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this in a conversation on channel 112 Ukraine, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The course of confrontation with Russia has exhausted itself. It is not economically viable. If he gave some economic preferences or a feeling of victory over the enemy, over Russia, despite economic losses, sacrifices, etc., that’s one thing.
But there are no victories, but there are victims. Moreover, the ruling class, which constantly called for this, did not sacrifice itself, but, on the contrary, strengthened its financial position.
It is clear that this could not last long. And the victory of Zelensky and the Servant of the People with such a devastating score is a signal that people no longer want this confrontation or the Ukrainian-Russian war, as some say.
We need to end this, we need to normalize relations. Actually, the last steps are steps towards normalization.
This does not mean the return of friendship, but at least some kind of micro-release, the beginning of normalization is necessary,” Karasev summed up.
