Kurti mocked the Serbian heroes - prisoners of the Hague trial

“Prime Minister” of Kosovo Albin Kurti noted that convicts MOMUT in The Hague Jovica Stanisic and Franko Simatovic are “the very people whose structures committed genocide in Kosovo.”

The leader of the Albanian separatists wrote about this on his Twitter, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Albin Kurti responded to the twelve-year sentences of the Hague Criminal Court Mechanism (HCM) for the former head of the State Security (DS) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia Jovica Stanisic and his deputy Franko Simatovic.

“Two notorious figures from the Milosevic regime, Jovica Stanisic and Franko Simatovic, were each sentenced to 12 years in prison for aiding and abetting crimes committed during the 1992 Bosnian war by the Red Berets, a special unit of the Serbian state security service. These are the same people whose structures committed genocide in Kosovo after Bosnia,” said the separatist leader.

Kurti also set a condition, only if it is fulfilled will Serbia be able to reconcile with Kosovo.

“Serbia must face its past, accept the truth, apologize and distance itself from Milosevic's Serbia. Only then can reconciliation begin,” the head of the Kosovo “government” concluded.

It should be noted that the Red Berets, whose commander was Franko Simatović, were considered one of the most combat-ready Serbian units of the Yugoslav war.
