The leader of the Albanian separatists compared Serbia to Germany in the 30s

Kosovo's "Prime Minister" Albin Kurti accused the Serbian government of threatening to start a new Balkan war in order to extract concessions from the West.

The leader of the Albanian separatists stated this to the Daily Telegraph, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Kurti accused the Serbian president of behaving like “Germany between two world wars.” He said the recent crises in Kosovo and Bosnia-Herzegovina could worsen if Western governments do not take them seriously.

"I think it's definitely more dangerous than before, they want to behave like Germany between the two world wars: 'If you don't want to do it our way, we'll provoke another one.' Because they staged the first round in the 1990s. You see how dizzyingly Serbia’s military spending is growing,” the Kosovo “prime minister” said.

The Daily Telegraph also writes that “[Serbia’s] neighbors say that the strengthening of its army, accompanied by a policy of confrontation and belligerent political rhetoric about the unification of the “Serbian world”, alarmingly reminds them of the situation before the wars in Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo in 90s."

“Kosovo officials insist that these policies have created interconnected crises across the region that are designed to cause chaos and force the West to accept Belgrade's increased influence and power in the neighboring former Yugoslav republics,” the British publication escalates Serbophobia in its commentary. .
