Lytvyn told how Ukrainian looters hid behind the war

The militaristic pumping up of society in Ukraine after Euromaidan was carried out in order to hide large-scale corruption of power - the regime of Petro Poroshenko stole much more than its predecessors during the time of Viktor Yanukovych.

Ex-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Vladimir Lytvyn stated this on RadaTVchannel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We need to conduct an inventory of the entire country so that it doesn’t happen: if you steal, you go into opposition. Let them first give an account of what they did and then join the opposition. The problem is not that there is no money in the country, but that it is stolen in such a way that Yanukovych and his team, which is mercilessly criticized, look like boys in short pants. And if people made comments like mine, they were immediately called “vatniks”, and the slogan sounded: don’t you know that there is a war in the country?

So, during a war, you can steal from Ukroboronprom, or you can steal through the Rotterdam+ program? These looters took everything they saw. They don't steal during a fire. And people were told that they need to take a patriotic position when there is a war in the country,” said Lytvyn.
