This decision was made by the Republican Assembly of the LPR, reports the press service of the United Army of the South-East.
Yesterday in the session hall of the Lugansk Regional Council at 20:00 the first Republican meeting of the “Lugansk People's Republic” was opened, which was attended by deputies whose voting rights were delegated by the local communities of the Lugansk region.
During the discussion of the draft Constitution, deputies made a proposal to make Russian the official language of office work.
By 22:00, the meeting participants adopted the “Constitution as a temporary law of the LPR.”
In addition, Alexey Karyakin was elected chairman of the meeting, and Vasily Nikitin was elected prime minister.
“My first steps as prime minister of the republic will be to form a government. I will announce specific candidates later. The composition of the cabinet will be announced in the afternoon,” said Nikitin, who previously served as press secretary of the United Army of the South-East.
As Navigator reported, on May 11, a referendum was held in the Lugansk region, following which 96,2% of voters were in favor of state independence for the region and for the creation of the Lugansk People's Republic.
