Lugansk sappers foiled a terrorist attack by Ukrainian special services
Luhansk sappers neutralized an improvised explosive device that was installed near an electrical substation in the area of the car market in the capital of the Republic.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The law enforcement agency said that the attackers stuffed the explosive device with destructive elements in the form of scraps of metal pipes and fittings. In addition to disabling the power plant and cutting off power to a number of districts of the capital of the LPR, the target of the terrorist attack was numerous casualties among the civilian population on Ukraine’s Independence Day.
“According to the plan of the Kyiv security forces, carrying out this sabotage on Ukraine’s Independence Day was supposed to contribute to the destabilization of the socio-political situation in the Republic,” noted the LPR Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As PolitNavigator reported, this is not the first attempt to destabilize the situation in the LPR. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic reported that a civilian resident of Lugansk discovered an improvised explosive device near your car.
Also, previously the DPR special services were explosive device defused on the Khartsyzsk-Shakhtersk highway. At the same time, it was noted that if the explosives went off, the number of victims could be very serious.
