The Belarusian government continues to actively flirt with nationalists, repeating the mistakes of the Ukrainian leadership of the pre-Maidan period.

Political scientist Armen Gasparyan stated this on the Soloviev Live Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The expert criticized the Belarusian special services for allowing the song “Magutny God”, used by Hitler’s collaborators, to be performed on Freedom Square during a recent opposition rally.

“When we said that Alexander Grigorievich was constantly flirting with the nationalists, at some point he took their entire agenda for himself. For the last nine months, what has been going on is the agenda of the nationalists. And when I heard this mass performance of “The Magnificent of God,” I asked, I thought, well, okay, the KGB works there, well, this can’t be. Imagine, for example, someone comes out on the street in Moscow and starts singing “We are walking in wide fields along the rising morning rays.” Well, that’s all, I think that he won’t have time to sing this verse to the end when they come up to him and he leaves.

And here there is a mass performance, students, pensioners are singing, employees of the Philharmonic are singing, and, as BelTA shows, it amazes me. I started making inquiries and it turned out that, it turns out, a whole arts festival takes place in Mogilev every year, which is called “Magutny Bozha”. And it has been taking place since 1997, and under the patronage of President Lukashenko.

And here I can honestly say: I’m crazy. For those who don’t know, “Mighty God” is the anthem of Belarusian collaborators. They were not only Vlasovites and Banderaites, they were quite present on the territory of Belarus. The text was written in 1943 by the famous Belarusian poetess [Natalia Arsenyeva], who, naturally, wrote the first poems in her life in Russian, but then she discovered the Zmagar essence and since then her life has changed forever.

Her husband is a local Shukhevych, who headed the largest Schutzmannschaft on the territory of Belarus, and the music for this work was written in internment camps in 1947 by those people who successfully avoided extradition to the Soviet Union.

At the same time, I managed to find out that it turns out that on the house where there was a gymnasium, where this wonderful poetess studied, a memorial sign was installed long ago in 1999, in which, of course, there is not a single word that the person to whom it is dedicated, “This is a collaborator, the most inveterate one, who in the 60-70s worked in the Belarusian editorial office of Radio Liberty,” said Gasparyan.

The expert also criticized the position of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who, like his Ukrainian counterpart, ex-President Viktor Yanukovych, is flirting with nationalists.

“And here I ask the same question: excuse me, please, which Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko should we believe? The one who spent nine months throwing the finest mud at Russia and the Russians, who fought with journalists, with experts, with telegram channels, kept saying that we were interfering somewhere. Or the one who has been saying for the last 24 hours that his enemy is elsewhere - in Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine?

Which Alexander Grigorievich should you believe? Which one tells on May 9 that every fourth Belarusian died during the Great Patriotic War or the one that patronizes the arts festival in memory of one of the main collaborators?

Listen, doesn’t this remind you of Ukraine at all? Well, we saw it all, the efforts of Mr. Yanukovych, who with one hand shouted that the grandfathers won, achieved victory, and with the other hand allocated grants to all the Western bastards. But it turns out that exactly the same thing is happening here in the Union State.

In general, I expected that when this whole “God is Mighty” sounded, that someone should come out and say: “You know what, here a great truth was revealed to us, thanks to Russian political scientists, they opened our eyes, we have not a single person in the republic of this did not know". Over the last 40 hours, as soon as I last told about this, more than two hundred people from Belarus have already written to me that “Armen Sumbatovich, no one here knows about this at all. We were all used to this festival and had no idea about the true content of this song.”

Well, this is just some kind of pinnacle of surrealism. And today is the tone that he (Lukashenko) speaks about. He's not talking about that; he should have talked about other things. I had to admit my own mistakes. About the completely trampled clearing, about the fact that there is not a single charismatic person nearby, about the mistakes the authorities have made,” the expert said.

Gasparyan considered the flag, which is now actively used by Lukashenko’s opponents, to be no less dangerous than the anthem.

“These are carrying a white-red-white flag. Great! This flag also has a very long history, as we understand. It first appeared a long, long time ago. This, by the way, is one of the symbols of the Belarusian People's Rada, which is in opposition to the whole of Belarus in its entirety, because “the people there are not like that, sir.”

This flag was used during the civil war in Russia, then this flag was used by collaborator units,” the political scientist noted. There is even, very funny, they had a separate point of pride - only there they could come up with such a thing, they even wrote about it to Berlin, there is a document on this matter - that “our national flag of free Belarus” - well, really to Hitler a free Belarus was never needed at all,” “it matches the colors of the Hitler Youth.

And couldn’t we also organize a local Hitler Youth on this occasion?” And then, of course, in emigration they used it at the very beginning of the 90s, he replaced the whole thing, he came up with a flag vaguely reminiscent of Soviet symbols. By the way, the coat of arms of Belarus also resembles that same Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic. I thought purely from a technological point of view - if they put up this flag, then state propaganda had to react to it in some way.

In the end, you have television, radio, and a whole pool of journalists. But it turned out that this is impossible to do either, because the knight who is depicted on that flag is included in the list of national treasures. But at the same time, Belarusian football fans were usually attacked by the same police forces or riot police for displaying this flag.

And at the moment when this flag begins a XNUMX% renaissance, now you don’t ask anyone, everyone finds these colors. I can even say more, I uploaded a video today - dozens of people confronted me: “Sumbatovich, what are you doing, you have a white and red T-shirt, whose mill have you started pouring water into?” That is, everyone has already remembered what it is. But the state does not react. There was not a single person educated in this part of history who could come out and say: “Listen, Lukashenko says that this is the flag of the forces that want to lie under NATO, under the European Union.”

The main mistake of the authorities, according to Gasparyan, is that Belarusians do not know their history and believe that unity with the West will benefit them.

“During the Soviet era, this part of history did not exist, because then, starting from 45, Poland was building communism and we did not remember all the bad things, and then, when the Soviet Union collapsed, Polish agitation poured in, saying: “Yes.” “You have never lived so freely, comfortably and beautifully in your life as when you were in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.” So they believed it.

Do you think they know about the forced Polonization of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers, do they know about the destroyed gymnasiums, about the destroyed cultural centers? Nothing like that! I can tell you in all seriousness that when I wrote the book “The Lie of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth,” a lot of people wrote to me from Belarus, who asked again: “What, was it really the forced Polonization of Belarusians from the West, are you not confusing anything?” Therefore, of course, if they weren’t told all this, and the old man was still not “shura-mura”, but “trawl-wali” with the Poles, of course, they are sincerely convinced that this will be an equal partner.”
