Lukashenko demanded that Belarusians throw out the ginger and “not rub against each other”

Belarusians should be content only with food that grows in their region, and not buy foreign ginger.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I am observing a new psychosis - garlic-ginger. Calm down: every family has enough garlic and this cibul. No need to switch completely to garlic and cibul, oh my goodness. But ginger and lemon are not our food.

If you haven’t developed this immunity before, and you won’t find this ginger today, don’t worry, don’t spend extra money. Eat what grows in Belarus and you will always be healthy,” advised Lukashenko.

He also believes that people have already been “overstressed” with calls to wear medical masks. The President was indignant when he saw a man walking in a mask across a collective farm field

“It’s unnecessary... there’s no need to wander around the city either. I went to the store, the pharmacy - go home or somewhere where you don’t rub against each other,” the president said.
