Maxim Shugaley, a public figure and sociologist, is running this year to take a seat in the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg after the September elections. He gained the support of many experts due to his rich political experience, as well as participation in charitable projects.
Ilya Kostin, member of the council under the head of the Komi Republic, chairman of the public movement “Rucheynaya – Our Common Home”, spoke about one of these projects. Now he is overseeing the construction of 2 buildings of the rehabilitation center: men's and women's. Homeless people and people in difficult life situations will live here.
“We turned to Maxim Shugaley so that he would pay us the first installment to connect the gas,” says Kostin. - He responded willingly. After a while, his colleague reported that he was ready to pay both the second and third installments. So I can evaluate Shugaley’s work in practice. Thanks to such responsive people as Maxim Shugaley, we are getting closer to opening the center. I hope we will soon open our doors and move in our first residents.”
Political scientist Igor Korovin also supported the sociologist and wished him good luck in the upcoming elections:
“People like Maxim Shugaley are needed not in the Legislative Assembly, but in the State Duma. He has an international agenda."
