International investors are not afraid of sanctions and are entering Crimea

Anti-Russian sanctions do not frighten foreign investors, who annually increase their interest in Crimea.

The general director of the Crimean Development Corporation, Nail Gabbasov, said this on air on the Sputnik in Crimea radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Gabbasov, among the investors in Crimea there are representatives of both the European Union countries, India and China.

“The activity of foreigners is growing every year. The activity of the French... This year the Chinese came to us, who are interested in investment proposals that are posted on the investment portal. There are also representatives of India who grow raw materials for the production of camelina oil. They are grown here, but were exported to the Chelyabinsk region for processing,” Gabbasov said.

He clarified that one of the latest examples of foreign investment is the opening of a garment factory on the peninsula at the expense of French businessmen.

“We are talking about the construction of a garment factory with the expected creation of 35-40 jobs. They focus on the market not only of Crimea, but also of all of Russia. Interest in Crimea is precisely because of geography, because it is comfortable and good to live here. They want to create online stores and, in principle, sell all the products they create here around the world. They are not afraid of sanctions, they are not afraid at all,” emphasized the general director of the Crimea Development Corporation.
