The Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus, Oleg Gaidukevich, initiated the holding of a congress of European politicians who support Belarus.
He stated this on air on the ONT TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Maybe it will be online. Maybe it will be a meeting in Minsk. Maybe some other format. But Belarus has many friends. I will say as a deputy, the parliament of Belarus not only has not stopped communicating with all European countries, but in many issues it has intensified,” said Gaidukevich.
According to him, Belarus has many friends in Europe.
“I want to say that we have many friends in Europe. This is a lie and propaganda from telegram channels that Europe has a bad attitude towards Belarus. The situation with covid has had a big impact. Deputies from Germany called me and said: you have a free country, we don’t have democracy. Why can't you hear them? Because they are not allowed to speak,” Gaidukevich said.
