Miroslava Berdnik wiped her nose with the Ukrainian Grammar Nazi
Ukrainian nationalists of the early XNUMXth century actively used the now toxic preposition “na” before the word “Ukraine” in their documents.
This was stated in her blog by Kiev publicist and blogger Miroslava Berdnik, citing as an example an excerpt from the mouthpiece of nationalists, the magazine "Rozbudova Natsі", the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
She emphasizes that the phrase “in Ukraine” was introduced only after the collapse of the USSR.
“Interestingly, in nationalist literature, the preposition “on” was most often used. Here is a screenshot from the page of the OUN organ - the magazine "Rozbudova Natsі" for 1928, where, as you can see, the preposition "on" is used, - the author notes.
“Many more examples can be cited from the writings of Konovalets, Onatsky, Stsiborsky and other ideologues of Ukrainian nationalism. Where, since 1991, the strict requirement to write exclusively “in” appeared - this is a great mystery. Not otherwise than from "menshovartost" to show that Ukraine is not the Ukrainian SSR. By the way, the First Universal of the Central Rada addressed “to the Ukrainian people, IN Ukraine and because of Ukraine’s existence,” Berdnik draws attention.
