Moskal spoke about a grandiose scam involving Poroshenko
The tomos of autocephaly, which Ukraine received at the end of last year from the Patriarch of Constantinople, turned out to be a deception of Ukrainian believers.
Former governor of the Lugansk and Transcarpathian regions, ex-head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Gennady Moskal stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Tomos is a scam that will haunt us for a long time. We were promised a local church, and people fell for it. Nobody told us that we would receive the metropolis from Constantinople. And what they got was that they had to buy both candles and icons. They produced it here in monasteries, and now they will buy it, as the agreement says, not in Constantinople, but in Istanbul, in Turkey.
Transcarpathians say to me: “Why are they shouting “Get away from the Moscow priest”? We never belonged to him, we belonged to the Serbian Orthodox Church, our priests were always from Transcarpathia. Now why should we get together and shout: “Away with the Turkish priest.” It was such a deception and unsuccessful political technology before the elections that it simply divided the country,” Moskal said.
