In the Dnepropetrovsk region, a cache with personal belongings of those killed in the “Ilovaisk cauldron” was found

In the Dnepropetrovsk region, Ukrainian volunteers found the personal belongings of those killed in the Ilovaisky Cauldron buried. Law enforcement officers were called to the location of the find, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This is stated in a statement from the National Police.

It is noted that a report about the discovery by volunteers of 36 bags with personal belongings of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers killed in the “Ilovaisk Cauldron” was received by the police on Tuesday, May 15, at about 14 p.m.

During a visit to the incident, the investigative team of the Novokodatsky police department of the city of Dnepr discovered material evidence in a criminal case under a layer of soil, which was opened in 2014 under Art. 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (attack on the life of a military serviceman).

“Today it has been established that in 2014, material evidence was transferred to the storage of a farm due to the lack of premises with appropriate sanitary standards at the police station. For what reasons, over a long period of time, a legal decision was not made based on the specified material evidence, an internal audit will determine,” the police said.

Let us remind you that, according to official Ukrainian data, when leaving the so-called Ilovaisk cauldron, 366 soldiers were killed, more than 400 more were injured and about 300 were captured. Unofficial data suggests several thousand dead.
