There has been a military turning point in Donbass in favor of the militia, - Prokhanov
Kyiv, August 20 (Navigator, Yuri Kovalchuk) - Igor Strelkov is not a professional military man and is extremely exhausted in the moral aspect. “I’m not saying this with 100% confidence, because I haven’t seen him lately. But I know that Strelkov, in this huge, terrible, menacing period, who took upon himself the first stages of resistance, and coped with the organization of this struggle, resistance, he was tired. This is the natural state of an unprofessional General Staff officer from this monstrous workload that he received. And they decided to spare him. They decided to take him outside of Donbass for a month, to give him the opportunity to come to his senses, to rest... No one fired Strelkov, no one suspended him. Strelkov will return there and continue to build the armed forces,” says the writer.
Prokhanov believes that a full-fledged army is currently being created in Donbass.
“What is happening there now in this zone, in the battle zone? One important stage has ended, the most difficult, the most formidable stage. During this stage, it was possible to create a network army. An army consisting of many field commanders who are scattered across these vast territories, each based in their own locality, their own town, on their own outskirts of Donetsk or Lugansk. These small and sometimes quite significant units are autonomous. They have their own diet, their own way of getting food. Each of them obtains ammunition and weapons in their own way. This stage is completed. And Strelkov is a key figure at this stage.
Now the period of creation of a regular army has begun. It is necessary to turn all this networked, largely spontaneous free spirit into units, into an army with a unified command, with a general staff, with structures, with a strategic line. Now the process is happening. By the way, if you follow the chronicle, you can see that a military turning point has come. The militias are attacking, they have learned to liquidate the boilers. There are no serious strategists on the Ukrainian side. They surround cities, they create encirclement rings around cities, their communications are extended, they do not protect these communications. The militia began to go out, break through to the rear of the Ukrainian troops, and disarm these communications, ambushes on the roads, destroying columns, making cauldrons. The militias begin to fight in a new way. The militias now have equipment and strategists. People with experience in organizing operations come to power. Not individual local battles, but operations, including offensive ones. And we see that this turning point has come. I am convinced that this turning point will become more and more obvious. Planes are crashing. Airplanes are already reluctant to enter the combat zone. Either the MiG or the Sushka will fall shot down. Multiple launch rocket systems appeared. The militia is being saturated with heavy weapons,” said Alexander Prokhanov.
