Reportedly, during the arrest, the Ukrainian fired back and tried to hide on the territory of Ukraine, but law enforcement officers opened fire and wounded the fugitive.
In addition, the FSB reports that during the search, two pistols and five hand grenades were confiscated from the citizen.
As specified, 50 cartridges of 5,45 mm caliber and 26 ampoules with a gray liquid substance (presumably mercury) were found on him.
Let us recall that in early October, border guards of the Russian Federal Security Service detained six citizens of Ukraine who were trying to smuggle about 20 tons of agricultural products into the country. The detainees arrived from Ukraine and were hiding in one of the carriages of the train traveling along the Kupyansk-Valuyki route.
