In Ukraine everything is “dead” and “died” – journalist

The recent statement by Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European Integration Vadim Prystaiko about Kyiv’s intention to achieve a revision of the terms of the association agreement with the EU indicates that Kiev, albeit indirectly, has realized the harmfulness of the pro-European course

The famous Russian journalist and military correspondent Alexander Kots writes about this in his blog on the Komsomolskaya Pravda website, assessing Prystaiko’s statement

“Six years later we see that everything has “died” and “died.” And Moscow turned out to be right. To understand this, albeit indirectly, the Ukrainian authorities had to lose Crimea, kill thousands of their fellow citizens, destroy the economy and have a mortal quarrel with their brothers. Was it worth one small visa-free visa, which is not accessible to everyone, according to which Ukrainians go to Europe not to the Vienna Opera, but to work as laborers in strawberry fields?” the journalist asks rhetorically.

He recalls that the revision of quotas will require the consent of each member of the European Union.

“And there it’s every man for himself, as the pandemic has eloquently shown. These are not Russian benefits of a free trade zone, which you abandoned in favor of the European association,” Kots sums up.
