The Ukrainian National Guard received the first 500 US-made anti-tank grenade launchers
About it on the page on a social network Facebook said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to the Development Strategy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard has put into service the first 500 40-mm RSRL-1 hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers made in the United States,” Avakov wrote.
According to him, the 40-mm RSRL-1 complex was launched into production by AirTronic in 2016.
“The firing range is 800 m, compatible with all existing RPG rounds, barrel survivability is 1000 rounds. Modern materials are used in the production of the complex, which makes it possible to reduce the weight of the grenade launcher, simplify operation, increase the firing range and improve the combat capability, while maintaining the effective architecture of the prototype,” the Ukrainian minister boasted.
“The State Research Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has developed a training program for personnel and a methodology for operating new weapons,” added Arsen Avakov.
