The nationally-oriented chief ideologist of Belarus rejected links with the opposition

The new deputy head of the presidential administration of Belarus, responsible for ideology, Andrei Kuntsevich, rejected claims of ideological closeness with the nationalists, which were spread yesterday by the opposition press.

True, he did this in an interview with the opposition agency TUT.BY, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Yesterday, for example, on the same Twitter, someone reproached me for being pro-Western, someone, on the contrary, that I was pro-Russian.

I am not pro-Western or pro-Russian, I am pro-Belarusian. I read both Shreibman and Palchis, but at the same time I also read Dmitry Kryat from Sovetskaya Belorussia and I think this is correct.

I repeat once again: the more opinions there are, the easier it is for yourself to draw some conclusions,” Kuntsevich said.

Recall After Kuntsevich’s appointment, the nationalist publication Nasha Niva noted with satisfaction, that he often uses the Belarusian language, despite the fact that his career developed in the Mogilev region bordering Russia.

It was especially emphasized that Kuntsevich follows on Twitter not only state media, but also the opposition Nasha Niva and Narodnaya Volya, as well as bloggers Eduard Palchis and Anton Motolko.

After this, Palchis even de-anonymized his Telegram channel.
