Ukrainian nationalists with a poster “Judge villains, not heroes” blocked the road for the motorcade of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko.
Thus, right-wing radicals protested against the trial of suspects in the murder of the Kyiv writer and journalist Oles Buzina.
A video of the attack on Lutsenko’s car was published on its Facebook page by the Nazi group C14, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The nationalists have just stopped the Prosecutor General’s motorcade. We wanted to talk about the manual justice against the war heroes Medvedko and Polishchuk. But Lutsenko, under guard, fled from dialogue with the people. Now we are going to the GPU for another meeting,” the Nazis commented on the video.
One of those accused of Buzina’s murder, Andrei Medvedko, expressed gratitude to the radicals on his Facebook page.
“This was the reaction of nationalists to the actions of the prosecutor’s office in the Buzina case. When the motive for a crime is called participation in the volunteer movement and nationalism, volunteers and nationalists rebel. Because they understand that today they came for us, and tomorrow for them. I am not involved in the planning or conduct of this action, but I thank everyone who was not lazy and left for Kyiv so early. This is democracy, this is human rights protection. Are you starting repression? Every action causes a reaction,” Medvedko wrote.
