Soon, Russian residents will begin to understand Ukrainian language thanks to the broadcast of speeches of Ukrainian politicians on Russian TV. Former ATO fighter, Verkhovna Rada deputy Nadezhda Savchenko stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the deputy, Russian television channels broadcast her speeches, not dubbing them into Russian, but with subtitles.
“My broadcasts are often watched in Russia, as I notice. What I want to tell you is that no matter how my words are twisted on Russian channels, no matter how they are shown, I only like one thing. They are shown not by duplicating or translating, but by titling. That is, the Ukrainian language is heard on Russian airwaves.
This means that very soon Russians will understand the Ukrainian language. And I’m glad about this, because we are beginning to understand each other better, starting with Ukrainian or Russian. It’s not that important – the point is understanding,” Savchenko said.
