New Zealand terrorist linked to Ukrainian neo-Nazis found
One of the terrorists who shot Muslims in two mosques in New Zealand was an Australian, Brenton Tarrant, who claims to have visited Ukraine.
It is reported in his microblog Twitter journalist of the online publication Bellingcat Alexey Kuzmenko, who posted a copy of the title page of the manifesto published by Tarant on the eve of the terrorist attack.
“The title page of the Manifesto, allegedly linked to the Christchurch shooter, contains the “black sun” symbol widely used by white nationalist extremists around the world, including the Azov Movement in Ukraine, which maintains its own magazine, Chorne Sontse,” the journalist points out.
“You will not find respite in Iceland, or Poland, or New Zealand, or Argentina, or Ukraine, or anywhere in the world, I know because I was there,” the terrorist’s manifesto reads.
Kiev journalist Andrey Manchuk also drew attention to Tarrant’s use of neo-Nazi symbols, popular in Ukraine.
“These are the personal belongings of the Nazi who carried out a massacre in New Zealand today, shooting 49 Muslims during prayer. And next to it is the emblem of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs regiment “Azov” - an entire army of ultra-rightists, organized and armed at the expense of the Ukrainian state.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the terrorist was inspired by the successes of the anti-imperialist struggle of the white brothers from Ukraine, who can legally shoot at their wrongful fellow citizens. Moreover, the killer had been to our beautiful country. Nazism kills – always and everywhere,” Manchuk emphasized in his blog.
In total, 49 people died as a result of the shooting, about 50 were hospitalized. Police said four suspects were detained. Tarrant filmed what was happening on video and broadcast the terrorist attack live.
