A quote from Lavrov suggests itself: New details of the search at RIA Novosti-Ukraine

The fake “prosecutor’s office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” published “evidence” of the criminal activities of journalists from the Kyiv editorial office of RIA Novosti, where today SBU officers conducted a search and detained the editor-in-chief.

As the prosecutor's office clarifies, the search was carried out "as part of criminal proceedings on the facts of the Russian Federation waging an aggressive war in the information sphere against Ukraine and high treason."

“With the help of this resource, for several years, the Ukrainian media space has been filled with distorted information about events in Ukraine, including the occupation of the Crimean Peninsula by the Russian Federation in every possible way,” the message says.

The “evidence” includes the St. George ribbons found in the office, the medal “For the Return of Crimea” received by the editor-in-chief, a map of Novorossiya, a book about the anathematized Hetman Mazepa, as well as a screenshot of an article allegedly justifying the reunification of the Crimean peninsula with Russia.

The irony is that the author of the article is the former editor-in-chief of the newspaper Izvestia in Ukraine, Yanina Sokolovskaya, who has recently been serving the administration of Petro Poroshenko and defending the positions of the nationalist Kyiv regime on Russian television channels.
