The legal experience of Crimea in reunification with Russia should be studied by the unrecognized republics in the post-Soviet space; Ukraine should also be reunited with the Russian Federation, but in parts, having previously fragmented it.

This is stated in the statement of the leader of the Popular Front “Sevastopol-Crimea-Russia” Valery Podyachey on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the “independence” of Ukraine.

“Today marks exactly 25 years since the Supreme Council of Ukraine adopted the Act of Declaration of Independence, which led to the collapse of the Soviet Union. In recent days, in connection with the anniversary of the State Emergency Committee, many voices have been heard recognizing that the collapse of the USSR was not only the largest geopolitical catastrophe of the XNUMXth century, but also the greatest tragedy for the peoples who made up the once united and powerful Union. The media also provides data from opinion polls confirming that the majority of people in all former Soviet republics believe that life was better under the Union, and not now.

...None of the patriots of their Motherland has any doubts about whether it is necessary to strive for the revival of the United Fatherland. The question is: how to do this?

I want to share my vision of the problem. Russia has already taken steps in this direction and legally annulled the collapse of the USSR. On March 15, 1996, the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted Resolution No. 157-IIGD “On the legal force for the Russian Federation - Russia of the results of the USSR referendum on March 17, 1991 on the issue of preserving the USSR,” in paragraph 3 of which the following is written: “To confirm that the Agreement on the creation of the Commonwealth of Independent States on December 8, 1991, signed by the President of the RSFSR B.N. Yeltsin and State Secretary of the RSFSR G.E. Burbulis and not approved by the Congress of People's Deputies of the RSFSR - the highest body of state power of the RSFSR, did not and does not have legal force insofar as it relates to the termination of the existence of the USSR."

This was done even earlier in Crimea - on December 22, 1994, the Supreme Council of Crimea adopted the Declaration on the denunciation of the Belovezhskaya Accords. The document said: “In December 1991, the highest government officials of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus signed the Belovezhskaya Agreement, which dismembered a single multinational state - our common great Motherland. As a result of the collapse of the USSR, not a single people began to live better. At the time of signing the agreement, the leaders of Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus did not have a mandate from the people to do this. Moreover, the decision was made contrary to the opinion of these peoples, clearly expressed at the All-Union referendum on March 17, 1991.”

There are no obstacles for the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the People's Council of the DPR and the People's Council of the LPR, the Supreme Council of the PMR, the People's Assembly of the Republic of Abkhazia, and the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia to do the same.

As for Ukraine, I would like to remind you of the concept of fragmentation of Ukraine that I proposed at the beginning of 2014. There is no need to drag all of Ukraine somewhere entirely, it needs to be fragmented and absorbed in terms of Russian influence on individual parts of this country. Representative bodies of individual Ukrainian regions or even localities may well adopt a political declaration on the revival of the USSR; there is nothing illegal about this. People want to return their homeland, and this will be understandable to the progressive world community. It won’t happen tomorrow, but we need to start moving towards it now!” - Podyachiy argues.
