NATO will refuse to send troops to help Ukraine during the war with Russia

In the event of a direct clash between Ukraine and Russia, NATO will not intervene and send its battalions to help Kyiv.

Former deputy chairman of the SBU Viktor Yagun said this on air on the Iceland Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

At the same time, he emphasized that assistance to Ukraine from the Alliance will still be provided with military equipment, intelligence information and other means.

“We won’t be left alone, that’s for sure. But we definitely won’t see any direct intervention, that is, any NATO battalions or military groups on our territory. We need to understand that this is our war, our problem and we need to solve it. In open confrontation, no one will [quarrel with Russia].

But at the same time, we must clearly understand that we have received messages that confirm that assistance will be increased with military equipment, assistance will be increased, including intelligence information and funds. Everything that is needed to ensure military operations will be presented by our partners. Another thing is that there will be no human resources, and there will be no direct participation,” Yagun said.
