A lawsuit to protect the honor and dignity of criminal blogger Alexei Navalny against the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov was received today in the Presnensky District Court of Moscow.
Information about this is posted on the Moscow City Court website, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is a re-filing of the claim. The first time a similar lawsuit was filed was in November last year after Peskov said that “Navalny’s accusations against Putin were inspired by the CIA and are unacceptable.”
The lawsuit stated that the defendant “disseminated information about A.A. Navalny that did not correspond to reality and discredited the honor, dignity and business reputation of A.A. Navalny.”
Navalny asked to oblige Peskov to publish a refutation on the official website of the Presidential Administration.
For the first time, the court left the claim without progress due to the fact that it was drawn up with errors.
