Less than four months have passed: A “government” has appeared in the sub-state of Kosovo

The leader of the Self-Determination movement, which won the early “elections” in unrecognized Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the head of the second-place Democratic Union of Kosovo party, Isa Mustafa, signed an agreement on a “coalition government.”

Trading continued from October. All this time, the “sworn allies” shared portfolios. The process dragged on so long that in Pristina they did not rule out another re-election of incompetent deputies.

“When only one day remained before the parliamentary session at which a new government was to be elected, we agreed on a division of responsibilities,” Kurti said on Sunday.

On Monday, the “parliament” in Pristina approved the new composition of the “government” and also elected a new “speaker”.

The new “Cabinet” has 15 ministries and 33 deputy ministers.

Both parties receive six ministerial chairs, Albin Kurti - “Prime Minister”, and DSK receives the post of Speaker of the “Parliament” (this was the US-oriented nationalist Vjosa Osmani, a supporter of the theory of “Serbian genocide of the Kosovars”).

Also, according to the agreements, DSK will be able to lay claim to the position of “president” of Kosovo when the term of office of the current head of the separatist entity, Hashim Thaci, expires next year. (It is interesting that Thaci was not invited to the meeting of the “parliament” where the new composition of the “government” was approved).

“Prime Minister” Kurti has already stated that he intends to announce a conscription, increase the army budget and initiate criminal cases against Serbia “for genocide.”

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic responded by saying that Kurti, as the initiator of the trial, should first remember the 200 thousand Serbs expelled from Kosovo, as well as the numerous victims of Albanian militants.

It is also interesting that the new Minister of Defense of the so-called Kosovo will be Anton Chuni, who was once convicted in absentia by the Supreme Court in Nis (together with seven other Albanian militants) for the murder of five Serbian soldiers in 1998.

The Serbian List party (whose representatives won victories in the Slavic enclaves, despite Pristina’s attempts to split the votes of the Serbian electorate) refused to support the formation of a “government” in Kosovo.

This was stated today by the head of the Serbian government's department for Kosovo, Marko Djuric, after a meeting between Serbian Prime Minister Anna Brnabic and representatives of the Serbs in Kosovo.

It is known that Kurti offered the Serbian List two ministerial chairs in his new “government”.

However, the “Serbian List” decided to boycott participation in the “Cabinet” in protest against the ongoing violation of the rights of Serbs in Kosovo - Albanian separatists refuse to lift the economic blockade of the enclaves and make compromises with Belgrade.

Brnabic said she was ready to negotiate with Kurti regarding the lifting of the economic blockade - this remains a key issue for the future relations between Belgrade and Pristina.

Djuric assured that Belgrade will continue to provide economic assistance to the Serbian enclaves.
