The web of omnipresent “Russian propaganda” penetrated the EU and made Europeans shudder at the name of Stepan Bandera, although back in the 90s neighboring Poland turned a blind eye to the glorification of OUN-UPA militants in Ukraine.
The director of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, Vladimir Vyatrovich, who is in charge of the process of falsifying history, stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Various factors, first of all, obviously, Russian propaganda, very serious, very massive,” he said, answering the question why in Europe people are almost sent to prison for the name Bandera.
“But the Poles are even without Russian propaganda,” the journalist noted.
“In fact, not only without Russian propaganda. With Russian propaganda this issue has become very aggravated. Poles in the early 90s did not talk at all about any crimes of Ukrainian nationalists, Bandera against the Polish population, and so on.
But this issue began to develop at the beginning of the 2016s, this issue has acquired serious significance since XNUMX, that is, these are also quite fresh absolutely trends that have already resulted in some kind of political disputes between Ukraine and Poland,” said Vyatrovich.
