New provocation against Serbs in Kosovo

The separatist Albanian regime in Kosovo, with the support of some Western countries, is trying to cut off Serbian voters in the region from participating in early elections to the local “parliament” scheduled for October.

This was stated by the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija under the Government of Serbia, Marko Djuric.

“In Kosovo and Metohija, an attempt has been made to implement a scenario in which the voice of the Serbs in our southern province will be usurped, and the Serbs will be completely cut off from political life and deprived of any right to decide their fate in this part of Serbia,” Djuric said at a press conference. conferences.

He emphasized that Pristina used administrative resources to persuade residents of Serbian enclaves to support the Independent Liberal Party, loyal to the Albanian separatists, led by Slobodan Petrovic.

Djuric cited as an example the situation around Serbian employees of the Kosovo post office in Pristina, who are threatened with dismissal if they refuse to support Petrovic’s political force.

The purpose of this pressure is to reduce votes in support of the Serbian List party, which cooperates with official Belgrade.

Djuric also said that Pristina is trying to bribe the Serbs by allocating them various agricultural grants, writes Kurir.

In addition, the local “CEC” has banned the use of Serbian-issued identity documents for registration to vote in Kosovo elections.

“This was done deliberately with the aim of depriving Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija of the right to vote, in order to reduce as much as possible the number of Serbs who will participate in these elections,” said the director of the Office.

“They hope that the Serbs will not vote. And now it’s not enough for them to deprive the Serbs of the right to vote on Serbian documents, they began to apply pressure through the NLP of Slobodan Petrovic,” Djuric said.

In his opinion, this situation requires the intervention of European countries, which regularly call on Serbia and Kosovo to resume dialogue.

Djuric again called on Serbs to unite around the Serbian List.

The Serbian List itself also reported on the provocations carried out by the Union for Kosovo, a subsidiary of the Belgrade pro-Western opposition Union for Serbia, sponsored by oligarch Dragan Djilas, operating in the region.

The Union for Kosovo joined the agitation against the Serbian List, helping to disperse the votes of Slavic voters.

The Union for Kosovo emphasizes that it is focused on cooperation with the current Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, since the current pro-Western oppositionists, who were once in power, are responsible for the loss of the region.

“Today Serbia is implementing the largest investment program in Serbian communities in Kosovo and Metohija, unseen for decades. It becomes very clear who really cares about the Serbian people in the southern province, and who hopes that he can abuse them for the selfish political interests and needs of the tycoon,” the Serbian List statement emphasizes.
