The new head of the EAEU openly lobbies the interests of Belarus

The new chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Belarusian Mikhail Myasnikovich, criticized Russia for not including Belarusian enterprises in its import substitution program.

He stated this in an interview with the ONT TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We must not be foreigners to each other. If you look, for example, at the import substitution program of the Russian Federation, it is a good document, large, comprehensive, aimed at supporting domestic producers and optimizing imports.

But there are no Belarusian or Kazakh enterprises there. Thus, the program is created for a specific country. Our “Integral”, our “Planar”, other Belarusian enterprises, I believe, have the right to participate in this program not as strangers,” Myasnikovich insists.

At the same time, Belarusian enterprises, in his opinion, need not fear competition from Russian ones.

The Eurasian Economic Commission is the executive body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which includes the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
