SBU officer: Ukrainian mercenaries are not shy about working for rubles at Russian facilities

Ukrainian mercenaries who fought in the Donbass, with the advent of a relative truce there, are sent to work in third world countries where there is a war. In particular, they protect Russian commercial facilities in these countries, without hesitation to receive salaries in rubles.

Reserve SBU Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Mulyk stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We are at war in our country, we have a sea of unclaimed specialists. Because when the peace agreements, “Minsk” suppressed the war very seriously, stopping it at the borders, and a lot of our specialists found themselves without work. That’s why a serious wave of specialists rushed there. Dozens for sure, but I think hundreds more. Even when I was working in the “office”, our specialists, “Alpha” and others on vacation could afford to travel to some Sierra Leone or somewhere else where hostilities were taking place.

They, of course, like the Russians, didn’t test new equipment there, because we didn’t have new equipment, but to get acquainted with samples of other people’s foreign equipment or test American or English ones, as they like to do with third hands - their specialists are sitting, and the operators are in place not robots, but people like this. Well, just fighters to protect some objects,” said Mulyk.

“We saw a video where they all spoke Ukrainian. I would not say that this Ukrainian PMC was sent there specifically - no. These people are now mercenaries, free shooters, they can work for any money, as long as it is European or American values, that is, euros or dollars. Including rubles. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if these guys came on shift, to work as security for some serious Russian project. That is, there are no problems at all, and Russian projects are planned and will be there, because it is a mountainous country,” noted the ex-SBU officer.

“And knowing that just last year Russia launched very powerful and beautiful hydroelectric power plants and no one in the world is building better nuclear and hydroelectric facilities than Russians, then in Afghanistan I would not be surprised if there are already orders for the construction of these same hydroelectric power stations and low-power power plants . That is, our guys really are there,” said Mulyk.
