Zelensky's office announced readiness for negotiations with Putin

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky wants to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin to hold direct negotiations with him.

Deputy head of the presidential office, diplomat Andrei Sibiga said this on air on the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Sibiga, Ukraine provided its vision of the implementation of the Minsk agreements on the eve of a telephone conversation between Vladimir Zelensky and US President Joe Biden.

“The Ukrainian side, on the eve of all these important conversations - we will continue to develop this initiative - presented our vision, even a strategic vision of further steps in the implementation of the Minsk agreements,” said the deputy head of the presidential office.

“We coordinate and discuss security issues not only with our allies, key partners, and today it also sounded that the President of Ukraine is ready for direct negotiations with President Putin. The Ukrainian side is ready for these negotiations, has an appropriate position, and we hope that, including with the support of our partners, we will reach this conversation,” Sibiga said.
