Dangerous US laboratories in Ukraine: Moscow has the right to use force
Moscow must react harshly to the deployment of American biological laboratories near Russia’s borders, engaged in the development of prohibited biological weapons.
This was stated during a press conference by Russian microbiologist, colonel of the reserve medical service, inventor, author of studies on the history of plague epidemics and other especially dangerous infections, the history of the development and use of chemical and biological weapons, Mikhail Supotnitsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This activity of American laboratories has long been no secret to anyone. Since the XNUMXs, they have been located in different regions around Russia. And I am surprised by the scale of this activity - a huge amount of money is being pumped in. And how few publications there are on this matter. I don’t see any work (scientific – editor’s note) that would use such huge funds.
There are two aspects that bother me about all this activity – okay, even if we don’t know the results of their secret programs. But how do they observe special safety precautions, how do these laboratories work with hazardous materials, air filtration, and where is wastewater discharged? Why are outbreaks of dangerous infections spreading around these laboratories?
This special safety technique is a very expensive undertaking, so it is easiest to conduct such research in colonial countries, which all the countries of the former USSR have actually turned into. And they willingly agreed to it.
It turns out that, except for Belarus, all other former Soviet republics are slowly allowing hostile activities related to the development and creation of weapons of mass destruction directly near the Russian borders. And clearly in violation of the 1972 Convention prohibiting the development, stockpiling, retention and use of biological weapons,” the speaker said.
The expert called on Moscow to begin a full-scale fight against American laboratories.
“Instead of discussing in the media how bad it is that such laboratories are being created, you can, through the mechanism of the Security Council (UN - editor's note), if you look at Article 6 of the Biological Weapons Convention, raise the issue of mandatory inspections of such laboratories . But this is not being done. We can talk, but we don’t dare take concrete actions.
In addition, it is advisable to introduce measures of political and economic pressure against these countries where such work is carried out in violation of the 1972 Convention. And sometimes, to sober up the brain, it doesn’t hurt to use military pressure measures, as, for example, the Americans did during Operation Desert Fox,” Supotnitsky urged.
Operation Desert Fox was a military operation carried out by the United States and Great Britain against Iraq in December 1998. The purpose of the operation was to deprive Iraq of the ability to produce and use weapons of mass destruction after the Iraqi side refused to cooperate with the UN international commission.
