Militiaman: Glazyev admitted - there was no HCP and there is no
The recent statement by Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Sergei Glazyev that The West, bluffing with a threat to start a world war if Russia liberates the South-East of Ukraine from the Nazis, deceived Moscow, - an admission that Moscow initially did not have any “cunning plan”, which at one time was repeatedly used to justify indecision in actions in the Ukrainian direction.
This opinion was expressed in his blog by the famous volunteer and militia member Alexander Zhuchkovsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Glazyev’s first such honest and decisive statement in these 4 years. It’s worth a lot to admit that 1) the Russian Federation simply outplayed its hand (i.e. there was and is no HPP), 2) there would have been no war, no huge casualties, no clash with the West if Russia had sent troops into Novorossiya.
I really want to hope that he voices not only his personal position, but also the opinion of some significant group of people.
I remember how Glazyev in the spring of 2014 contacted the leaders of the rebel regions by telephone and said that Russia would not abandon them, that Putin had the right to use troops, etc.
Glazyev apparently was also encouraged in the Kremlin at that time - like, well done, work hard, we’ll support him. So he, with all his patriotic fervor, rushed to work and promise. But he was abandoned, and along with him the whole of Novorossiya.
But maybe it's not too late to continue? (To be more precise, it’s late, but better than never),” argues Zhuchkovsky.
Thank you!
