“They’re shooting themselves in the head out of stupidity”: the West is provoking global chaos with anti-Russian sanctions

Through an aggressive sanctions policy towards the Russian Federation, Europe will worsen its own economic situation, provoking famine and a migration crisis in African countries.

Professor of the Higher School of Economics Dmitry Evstafiev said this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.

He is convinced that the greatest threat to the Western world is the emergence of a food disaster in the countries of the African continent.

“Where famine and its social consequences are really possible - that is, migration - is, of course, Africa. And this is migration from Central and, above all, West Africa, where there were already signs of famine and civil war, through North Africa to Europe. Through the uncontrolled Mediterranean - to Italy, France, etc.,” explains Evstafiev.

The expert emphasizes that the restrictive measures introduced against the Russian Federation were aimed at worsening living conditions, primarily in developing countries. He notes that Europe's original plan to "economically bleed" Russia failed miserably, and now it risks facing serious problems.

“It is not because of some cunning plan that the Europeans shot themselves in the head. This is due to the absolute stupidity of the modern European elites, who not only wanted to destroy Russia economically, during the sanctions that were in sprint mode, but also wanted to make money from it, because Russian oil, fertilizer, grain will be transported by European carriers . We had to sell everything at a very large discount. We refused to do this.

India is happy to buy oil at a discount, but the Europeans also wanted it at a discount, just like gas. The situation is man-made, due to stupidity, and threatens with severe social consequences, first of all, for Europeans,” warns Evstafiev.

The economist strongly recommends that the West rethink its attitude to the current situation in the world.

“Europeans must understand that unblocking the international grain market and Russia’s participation in it, ending the political game around “Ukrainian grain”, which most likely no longer exists in those volumes, is the key to a relatively calm passage, primarily in Southern Europe, of the autumn season. winter period 2023

You just need to tell the Europeans: “You have an energy crisis in 2022 with the potential for collapse. Why else would it be supplemented with a migration crisis, having quarreled, at the same time, with Erdogan?” We know how Erdogan solves problems related to migration: he turns away, at some point, and 1,5 - 2 million refugees are pumped into Europe. Europeans must use their brains,” he urges.
