Militants who "distinguished themselves" on the Kiev Maidan lit up at the riots in Minsk
The security service of the joint headquarters of the former candidate for the presidency of Belarus Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, even before the elections, invited Ruslan Chikalev, a militant who participated in the attacks on the Berkut special forces on the Ukrainian Maidan in 2014, to the country. This was done personally by the head of the headquarters of the failed presidential candidate Viktor Babariko, Maria Kolesnikova.
This is stated in the film “The Underside of Protests,” shown on Belarusian television, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Chikalev, a native of Gomel, has been repeatedly tried for robbery and hooliganism. According to him, on the Maidan, "I learned how to properly fight off the cops' batons."
When he was detained in Minsk, they found walkie-talkies, knee pads and a knife on him.
The authors of the film claim that it was Chikalev who was preparing an attack on law enforcement officers in Minsk using Molotov cocktails.
“His main task in Minsk was to organize the“ first victim ”- he naturally framed and pushed the person towards the riot police when he“ went ”to the roar of light and noise. Fortunately, the person was not badly hurt, ”RT journalist Konstantin Prydybailo wrote on his Telegram channel.
Vladislav Koretsky, another activist of the Belarusian protests, also took part in the Ukrainian Maidan. In August, in a telephone conversation intercepted by the Belarusian special services, he called for riot police to “cut out”, “cut their families” “long and painfully” and also use “Molotov cocktails”.
The film also shows how provocateurs acted during the protests and reveals the sources of funding for the opposition and the Polish media coordinating the riots.
