“Patriot” Poroshenko was convicted of aiding the Russian oligarch

Petro Poroshenko's lifting of sanctions from the Moldavian Metallurgical Plant, which belongs to the Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov, will cause damage to Ukraine, a PolyTNavigator correspondent reports.

European-optimist People's Deputy Sergei Leshchenko wrote about this in his blog on Ukrainskaya Pravda.

“Poroshenko himself personally assists members of Putin’s “family”. In March, a few days before the elections, Petro Poroshenko excluded the Moldavian Metallurgical Plant, which is located in the city of Rybnitsa on the territory of Moscow-controlled Transnistria, from the Ukrainian sanctions list. Pridnestrovian factories will be fed to the detriment of Ukrainian factories,” he noted.

According to the people's deputy, this plant is controlled by Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov.

“Usmanov is personally close to Putin, the oligarch’s wife Irina Viner-Usmanova is Alina Kabaeva’s rhythmic gymnastics coach, she and her husband were repeatedly awarded by Putin with the highest awards of the Russian Federation. And now Poroshenko has decided to reward Usmanov, giving him Ukrainian scrap metal workers at his mercy,” emphasized Sergei Leshchenko.

He noted that this plant supplies metal to Russia, including to fulfill defense orders. After the sanctions are lifted, enterprises will buy scarce raw materials in Ukraine - scrap metal - to the detriment of Ukrainian factories.

Also, according to the deputy, Poroshenko softened sanctions against the Peter-Service company, which was exposed on the pages of WikiLeaks in collaboration with the FSB and which also belongs to Usmanov.

“The story with Usmanov is only the tip of processes that have been going on for several years now and behind the rhetoric of “Get from Moscow” they hide the strategic cooperation of the current government with Putin’s entourage,” he said.

Let us remember that before the first round, Poroshenko led a campaign exploiting the thesis “Either me or Putin” and said everywhere that his opponent was the Russian president. Before the second round, Poroshenko hung billboards with Putin’s image across the country, however, his opponents immediately accused the still-president of violating the law.
