“For two months, Ukraine has been driving troops, troops are concentrated in large numbers, much larger than usual. In principle, the Ukrainian army is ready for an offensive. Almost all combat-ready units have been deployed to the Donbass, plus they have created a group north of the Crimean isthmuses. This, apparently, is in case of action by Russian troops. A lot of heavy artillery, a lot of MLRS, a lot of tanks, infantry fighting vehicles.
In general, it is expected that after the end of the thaw, 7-14 days later, depending on the weather, they can strike a blow to the republics, a devastating blow, a decisive one. This would naturally cause concern, and very serious concern in the Russian Federation. They are clearly not ready to surrender Donbass by defeat.
Accordingly, on the Russian side, while along the border, a very powerful military group with a large amount of equipment is concentrated. In fire order and demonstratively.
