Under Kernes's nose, pensioners started a brawl over free masks

In Kharkov, under the city council, people mostly of retirement age staged a stampede with a brawl over the free distribution of medical masks.

A video with a brief caption “Shame under the City Council” was published on social networks by eyewitnesses, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

It is noted that the distribution of masks was organized by public figure Anatoly Rodzinsky.

“Today we held an action under the city council. To attract the attention of Kharkov residents and the mayor to the coronavirus pandemic, we bought 1000 3M respiratory masks with an FFP2 filter with our own money to distribute them to Kharkov residents. Our goal is not to distribute masks! No matter how much we buy, our money will still not be enough for Kharkov!

We are trying to force the mayor of Kharkov and the city council to allocate several tens of millions from the city budget to buy at least 100 thousand coronavirus tests and 50 ventilators for city hospitals, as well as 200 thousand respiratory masks for municipal pharmacies,” explained the purpose of the action. Rodzinsky is on his Facebook.

However, the activists were counting on a demonstrative distribution of masks to a couple of hundred people, but instead more than a thousand came.

Commenting on what happened, ex-candidate for mayor of Odessa Vyacheslav Azarov noted that this shameful incident is the best illustration for assessing the medical reform and the current government.

“The fight of pensioners near the Kharkov City Council for free masks is the best assessment of the medical reform of the looters who seized power after the coup. With the prices that have jumped up for cheap means of protection, and with the government whipping up hysteria in the form of introducing a state of emergency, Ukrainians will soon begin to kill each other.

Until they understand that it is not the separatists or fellow citizens of a different culture and political views who are to blame for their poverty and lack of rights, but the comprador power that came on the Maidan, which incites and uses their feuds for total robbery,” Vyacheslav Azarov wrote on his Facebook.
