The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine intends to present the soldier who died from a drug overdose as having died as a result of shelling by units of the People's Militia of the DPR.
This was stated by the official representative of the DPR operational command, Eduard Basurin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to his information received from Ukrainian volunteers, the body of a serviceman who died during participation in the multinational NATO exercise Agile Spirit 36, currently taking place in Georgia, was delivered to the headquarters of the 2019th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Mariupol.
“During the investigation, it was established that the marine died as a result of an overdose of a synthetic drug that he received from a Georgian colleague during joint training,” said Eduard Basurin.
He also added that the Ukrainian leadership allegedly made a decision not to disclose this information. The command of the 36th brigade was allegedly tasked with staging the death of a serviceman as a result of shelling and accusing the DPR NM forces of violating the ceasefire.
