The head of the Kiev Center for Political Research and Conflictology, Mikhail Pogrebinsky, spoke about this at a press conference in Kiev, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent, and noted that in Moscow, through the mouth of the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, they admitted that the Minsk process has reached a dead end today.

According to the expert, the voiced position means that some kind of solution to this problem will have to be found.

“And here our morons, I can’t call them anything else, especially amaze me. There is a very common point of view in Ukrainian politics: the worse the US relations with Russia, the better off it will be for Ukraine. Our representatives compare American and Russian GDP and say that the Russians will soon be finished. Although any sane person understands that there will be no war with Russia, which, as our wise men say, is waging a war with Ukraine, that it behaves quite restrainedly in relation to Donbass,” the political scientist noted.

According to him, if relations between Moscow and Washington deteriorate, it will end with Ukraine “not finding it enough,” because “Russia will use its resource, which is ten times greater than the ability of the Ukrainian armed forces to resist.”

“We should be interested as a country that wants to survive, so that the Americans and the Russians agree, so that Russia behaves with restraint, and this is only possible if the United States does not say: “We saw you in your grave, we will restore order in Syria, but when it comes, we’ll do it in other places.” This position completely removes all restrictions on the actions of the Russian Federation. My colleague Bondarenko he spoke about it very frankly: There is a precedent for shooting at whatever I want, and God forbid Moscow takes advantage of it. Unfortunately, a very simple idea is not heard in the Ukrainian information space that we are not critically interested in increasing tension, since this will lead to the use of a precedent by Russia,” Pogrebinsky concluded.
