Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that since the end of August Russia has strengthened its military grouping along the border with Ukraine - from Belarus to Crimea and Transnistria, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, the Russian ground group located in the Donbass and Crimea includes 28 battalions of tactical groups, more than 1120 tanks, 2600 armored vehicles, 1230 artillery systems and more than 440 multiple launch rocket systems. In addition, as Poroshenko assures, there are 6 operational-tactical missile systems located along the borders.
Poroshenko assures that, according to space reconnaissance data, Russian tanks are allegedly located at a distance of 18 km from the Ukrainian border. According to him, in one of the directions, since mid-September, the number of Russian tanks has almost tripled - from 92 to 250 units.
“We have strengthened the air defense of the state, strengthening the Air Force in dangerous areas. Our line of defense has been strengthened to the maximum, and the Ukrainian military is ready at any moment to respond to the provocative actions of the aggressor,” Poroshenko wrote.
