Poroshenko announced the successful test of a Ukrainian missile near Odessa

President Petro Poroshenko wrote about this on his page on the social network Facebook.
“I congratulate all Ukrainians on the successful testing of the Ukrainian Vilkha missile system. Just received a report that all four missiles hit the target!” - he wrote.
On August 26, 2016, Advisor to the Minister of Defense Yuriy Biryukov stated that the Ukrainian military conducted the first launch of a new missile. At the same time, he noted that information about what type of missile this was was classified. In turn, military expert and director of the information and consulting company Defense Express Sergei Zgurets said that these were tests of a new missile system based on the Smerch multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).
“The working name of the Alder complex. The launches took place at a test site near Odessa - in the place where such tests were carried out for the first time,” he noted.
