Poroshenko was pelted with eggs on Maidan
Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was pelted with eggs during a speech on the Maidan.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the ex-head of state addressed those gathered at a rally against “capitulation” on the eve of the Normandy Format meeting, which is scheduled for tomorrow.
After his speech, the choir took the stage and performed several songs, ending the performance with the Ukrainian anthem.
After this, Poroshenko again approached the microphone and shouted the nationalists’ favorite slogans, “Glory to Ukraine.”
At this time, eggs flew at him, which Akhtem Chiygoz, a Verkhovna Rada deputy from Poroshenko’s European Solidarity party and a member of the Majlis banned in the Russian Federation, was trying to catch.
Poroshenko, in turn, said into the microphone: “Well, catch him,” referring to the man who threw the eggs.
