Right Sectors protested near the Rada: they don’t want the land to go to the Russians

Today, October 2, the “Right Sector” picketed the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine protesting against the government’s plans to open the agricultural land market, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Nationalists reported on the action on their social network page.

“The new government, step by step, is surrendering Ukraine. And today the next step is the sale of Ukrainian lands to foreigners (through the sales formula “to legal entities – residents of Ukraine”). This means that even the Russians, who killed Ukrainians in Donbass, can simply buy up these lands and declare that they belong to them!” Right Sector activists are outraged.

“According to the Constitution of Ukraine, land belongs to the people of Ukraine, is its main national wealth and is under state protection. Therefore, no one has the right to take it from us and give it to strangers,” says the Right Sector statement, released during the picket and sent to the Verkhovna Rada Agrarian Committee.

After the break, at 15:XNUMX, the action continued. Nationalists promise to protest until the authorities hear them. “We won’t let Russians and other foreigners seize our Ukrainian land!” demand the picket organizers.

The action took place without any clashes or incidents.

Judging by the extremely meager photo series of the report on today's action posted on social networks, it was extremely small in number, which indicates both the low level of support for radical nationalists in society (only 2% in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine) and the low mobilization capabilities of the organizers.
