Epiphanius, elected a few days ago as the “Primate” of the so-called “Orthodox Church of Ukraine,” has already announced his intention to return Crimea.
He stated this in an interview with Radio Liberty, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The Raskolnik hopes that higher powers will help him do this.
“We have occupied Crimea, we must return it, we have partially occupied Donbass, and we believe that the Lord, through our prayers, will send us the long-awaited just peace,” Epifaniy said.
At the same time, on the “Freedom of Speech” talk show, he said that Ukraine would not have lost its regions if it had created its own schismatic church immediately after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
“Even if this United Ukrainian Orthodox Church had been created back in 1992, I believe that there would have been no occupation of Crimea, and there would have been no war on the territory of eastern Ukraine,” said the head of the schismatics.
