Protasevich sues Ryanair and accuses his former accomplices of collusion

Roman Protasevich, the creator of the extremist telegram channel “Nekhta,” who came to Lukashenko’s service, intends to sue Ryanair, from whose flight he was removed in May last year in Minsk when the plane landed due to a false report about mining.

He stated this on the YouTube channel “InfoSpecNaz BELYAKOV,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I will not disclose all the details, but I plan to file a claim against Ryanair and encourage all passengers who were on board this flight to file similar claims,” Protasevich said.

In addition, he intends to submit a statement about the incident to the international civil aviation organization ICAO, in which he is ready to provide documented evidence of all his words.

The management of Ryanair, the authorities of the European Union and Ukraine blamed the incident with the landing of the plane on the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, calling him an “air pirate” and imposing sanctions against the Belavia company.

However, Protasevich himself, who eventually ended up under house arrest, is confident that the false message about mining was sent by his former comrades-in-arms Yan Rudik and Daniil Bogdanovich. They were interested in Protasevich’s removal from the post of editor-in-chief and had close contacts with the so-called “cyberpartisans” - hackers who hack the websites of government agencies in Belarus.

Protasevich draws attention to the fact that the Delphic Economic Forum was mentioned in the letter about the false mining. He attended this event as a photographer, but only 5 members of the delegation of the self-proclaimed “leader of the Belarusian nation” Svetlana Tikhanovskaya knew about it.

According to him, at Tikhanovskaya’s headquarters in the winter and summer of last year, the case of Russian criminal blogger Alexei Navalny was actively discussed, whose return to Russia from Germany became the reason for relatively massive protests. It was proposed to revive the extinct Belomaidan by making a sacred sacrifice to the “regime”. However, no one wanted to voluntarily return from emigration and go to prison.

Since Protasevich began to cooperate with the authorities almost immediately after his arrest, it was not possible to use him as a sacred victim, but Tikhanovskaya’s headquarters still made his story its main argument to the West in favor of introducing new sanctions against Belarus.
