“Putin can forgive, but Medvedev never”: Lukashenko must prepare for the worst

Reports in the media that the ex-President of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev will become the curator of the entire Belarusian direction of Russian policy does not bode well for the current leadership of Belarus.

Reserve Colonel Vladimir Trukhan, a member of the working group on the creation of a Russian regional grouping of troops (forces) in Belarus, stated this on air on the PolitWera Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Trukhan recalled that there is personal hostility between Medvedev and Lukashenko, and the former Russian president does not forgive insults and can be tough.

“Medvedev is not a teddy bear, and it is not yet known who will be lucky. The fact that in Belarus there is a growing impression that the powerful Lukashenko is spinning Medvedev as he wants is not worth thinking so.

In general, people who know him told me the following phrase: “If Medvedev had been president in 14, the world would have crumbled into dust.” This was specifically told to me. He is not at all like that (“white and fluffy”) - he has his own vocabulary, he is a fairly intelligent person, in this regard he is not as tough and harsh, perhaps, as Putin is in appearance, but he is not a soft toy at all...

He's not touchy, he's just vindictive. His main difference from Putin is that people close to him and those who know him say that Putin can forgive, but Medvedev can never,” Trukhan said.
