“Putin bribed everyone”: Gordon found an explanation for why none of his predictions came true
Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon had to justify his false prediction that Russia would be deprived of the right to host the World Cup.
A viewer reminded him of this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel “1+1,” a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t make forecasts. I simply said that there would be no World Cup. When I said it, I knew why I said it. Everything was going that way. We have seen certain actions by WADA, not allowing Russian athletes to participate in the Olympics. And the investigation into the explosion of Kaczynski’s plane over Smolensk, and the investigation into the Boeing shot down over Donbass. The clouds were gathering,” Gordon said.
To explain why his prediction did not come true, he accused FIFA of corruption.
“But who could have predicted that Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin would throw so much money at bribing FIFA. My friend, with whom I bet $500, the former vice-president of the Ukrainian Football Federation, said: “You will lose.” I asked why. He says: because FIFA is a closed, corrupt organization that is influenced by nothing but money. That’s what Putin did,” Gordon said.
