Rabinovich and Firtash’s group promise Ukrainians life in a “second Switzerland”
Co-chairman of the Opposition Bloc party Yuriy Boyko and leader of the For Life party Vadim Rabinovich signed an agreement on the creation of the Opposition Platform - For Life, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Boyko and Rabinovich announced this on November 9 on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada, noting that they invite all opposition forces to unite on the basis of their platform.
“There are three points on which we invite everyone: the first is the establishment of unconditional peace in the country, the second is the end of the economic genocide of the Ukrainian people and the third is the creation of an independent neutral country, the “Switzerland of Eastern Europe,” Rabinovich said.
Answering a question from journalists regarding the presidential candidate from this political force, Boyko noted:
“We will really have only one candidate for the presidential election, but this is still a reason for discussion, this will be in the future.”
At the same time, Ukrainskaya Pravda’s sources in the Opposition Bloc note that Rinat Akhmetov’s group decided to suspend its participation in the process of unifying the Opposition Bloc party with the For Life party.
The Firtash-Levochkin group and Medvedchuk and Rabinovich declared their readiness to unite now, but Akhmetov’s representatives said that they did not see any point in such a rush.
“I don’t know what they decided for themselves without us. But we are self-sufficient people and we believe that there is definitely no point in rushing with such a delicate topic,” admitted one high-ranking interlocutor from Akhmetov’s group.
